Dr. Jung-Hyang Sur is a globally recognized veterinary pathologist with over three decades of expertise in infectious disease research. He gained critical experience as a Research and Diagnostic Pathologist at the USDA’s Plum Island Animal Disease Center, where he specialized in African Swine Fever (ASF) vaccine development and clinical trials. After 21 years as a Professor of Veterinary Pathology at Konkuk University in Seoul—where he also served as Vice President and President of the Industry-Academy Cooperation Foundation—and authoring over 100 papers in renowned international journals, he now serves as the President of the Korean College of Veterinary Pathologists. Currently, as the Director of the R&D Institute at Komipharm International, Dr. Sur leads global efforts in ASF vaccine development, bridging the gap between high-level academic research and practical solutions for the farming community.
