Manuel Sanchez

Director – Beijing, China

U.S. GRAINS COUNCIL



Manuel Sanchez serves as the director in China for the U.S. Grains Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the global use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products including ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS). In this capacity, Sanchez identifies and works with the China office team to address trade, technical and policy-related factors relevant to building and maintaining the market for U.S. grains and co-products in China.

Before assuming his current role, Sanchez was regional director for Southeast Asia based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Prior to that, Sanchez served as the assistant director for Southeast Asia, where he assisted with the overall coordination and management of Council programs in the region, and as a manager of global trade, based in the United States.

Prior to joining the Council, Sanchez worked at Cargill Incorporated from 2007 to 2014, serving in various roles including grain marketing advisor in Valparaiso, Indiana, and trade execution supervisor in Coral Gables, Florida.

Sanchez holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Business Administration and international business from Florida International University.
